Study Material: - Seven Last Words by James Martin - In his book “Seven last words” James Martin shows how deeply Jesus understands our struggles and why we can turn to him completely—in mind, heart, and soul. Based on Martin’s homilies at New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Good Friday 2015, each meditation reflects on one of the seven traditional sayings.

The meditations/reflections which are on audio file last about 20 minutes each. Afterwards there will be a time to reflect on the teaching that we have heard and to share, if we wish.

The Lent course is open to all who wish to attend - please could you let Charlotte know in advance if you would like to come: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 05 53 61 81 61.

Lent course to begin near Périgueux: Tues 20th Feb, 14:00

cross“When I survey...” Christ’s cross and ours - a course for Lent

The death of Christ is a dominant and dramatic theme in the New Testament. So, it’s not surprising that, over the centuries, the Cross has become the symbol of the Christian faith. But Christians do not honour a dead hero; we worship a Living Lord. According to the Bible, the death of Jesus is not the end of a track – it’s the gateway into life.

His crucifixion gives rise to many key themes and we’ll explore some of these in a five-week course to be held at La Gare, St Aulaye on Tuesday afternoons throughout Lent commencing Tuesday 20th February at 14:00. Email Steve or Jenny Long (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for more details or phone them on: 05 53 91 96 48.
