This site has information on a wide variety of issues of interest to English speaking residents ranging from health issues, building regulations and funerals to legal and consumer matters.

SOS HELP Crisis line in English: 01 46 21 46 46
SOS Help is a telephone listening service for the English-speaking community in France.  Trained listeners are available every day of the year from 3pm to 11pm.



Hospital Visiting in Bordeaux

There is a network of English speaking volunteers in Bordeaux who visit people in Bordeaux hospitals, offering support and using their local knowledge to offer practical help.

Alcoholics Anonymous
Local network of English-speaking groups which meet throughout south west France. This group is a fellowship of men and women who support each other in the recovery from alcoholism. Collection of books available as a resource for study

In 2012, Colin Pratt's family kindly donated to the chaplaincy many of the books from his library. These books are currently stored in The Upper Room next to the church in Bertric Burée, and have been catalogued and recorded.
