Chaplaincy Women's Retreat: April 2024

Join us as we explore, reflect, discuss, pray, and worship together

Theme: 'Be Still with the Women of Acts'

Friday April 26th - Sunday April 28th, 2024 (from 14:30 on Friday until Sunday after lunch)

echourgnacCome and join us for a peaceful and refreshing weekend in the beautiful surroundings of the Abbaye d’Echourgnac (24410, NW of Bergerac).

Over the weekend, we will explore how the women of Acts, whilst living their lives in pagan times, played their part in forming the Early Church. These women of the early church were not spectators. The played an active, vibrant, and vital role in the day-to-day running of the church, whilst experiencing their humanity within the full cycle of life - joy, loss, and grief.

The Retreat Programme will offer ample time for being still, for personal reflection, time in small groups, as well as fellowship and fun together. There will be daily prayer and worship, and opportunities to join with the Abbey Community in their daily worship services - plus time outdoors to explore, weather permitting. Our aim is that we will leave the Abbaye renewed and restored.

bible and crossLed by Amanda Allchorn and Tina Marshall, the Retreat will start: Friday 26 April 16.30, through to Sunday 28 April 12.00, followed by lunch. Arrival is from 14.30 on the Friday, allowing time to settle and have tea and cake.

The cost of the retreat remains the same as last year at 150 € for a single ensuite room, including all meals*. Places are limited, and reservations are now open (please see the boooking form below).

There is an option available to remain at the Abbaye for an additional 24 hours (full board), without any set program, but with encouragement to be still and quiet, for an additional cost of 45 €.
